Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When a page is requested, the web server processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, date and time, requested address, transferred data volume, referrer, browser identifier and HTTP status.

This processing supports secure, reliable delivery and the detection of errors and abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and efficient operation of this website. Configured retention is limited to 14 days, after which logs are deleted or anonymised unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.

Contact

This website does not operate its own contact form. If you contact the photographer by email or through the linked central contact website, the submitted information is processed to answer the enquiry. Depending on its content, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual steps or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Enquiry data is deleted when it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Affiliate links and outbound clicks

Commercially compensated links are labelled “Advertisement · Affiliate link” at the link itself. Following such a link takes you to an external provider, which processes the request under its own responsibility and may use its own tracking technology.

For internal measurement, a click may also send the identifier of the link to this website’s own server. No cookie or browser storage is used. The request is recorded with the usual connection data and follows the same deletion period. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is evaluating and improving the commercial placement of links.

Cookies and external embeds

The website sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, maps, videos or social-media embeds. Once you follow an external link, the destination provider’s privacy information applies.

The photo light planner stores a plan only after you select “Save plan”. The values remain in this device’s local storage and are not sent to the server. Offline use is likewise activated only after your explicit action and stores the required application files in the browser cache. Those storage operations serve only the explicitly requested save or offline function (section 25(2), number 2, TDDDG; corpus status: Act last amended 10 March 2026, retrieved 8 August 2026). Saved plans can be deleted in the tool and website data in browser settings.

Recipients and international transfers

Hetzner processes the data required for hosting as a processor. The website does not intend to transfer its own server logs to a third country. A direct connection to an external destination provider is established only when you deliberately follow a link and is then handled under that provider’s responsibility.

Technical provision and automated decisions

Connection data generated by a page request is technically required to deliver the requested page; the page cannot be provided without it. This website carries out no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the following rights:
